Just to let you know we had a great day on Sunday, there are a few pictures of participants, some of whom you will know quite well. The weather stayed kind to us and comments from the players were all positive and the money raised certainly reflects this. A big thank you to the following individuals who made the day so good; my wife Ann Lane, who set up registration at 8am, and stayed until 6pm selling tombola tickets, Linda Smith who with her husband set up the tombola and provided all the goodies to be won, Margaret Kulak and Pauline Messer (wives of members) who helped Ann and Linda, Tony Durk and Dave Barlow, Dave took all the photos on the day and Tony spent most of the day in a darkened room printing out the photos to sell, Tina Kennedy who with her friend set up a card selling stall, Elaine Chapman for her encouragement and support on the day and finally, but most importantly, to all the golfers who played.

A few numbers for you, a total of 70 golfers played in the team event and a further 39 in the individual event (played on the same day but only open to members).

The tombola raised £270

The photos raised £125

The individual event raised £172

The team event raised £1050

making the total raised on the day  £1617

This takes my total raised so far this year to £3143.80

Lastly a special mention must be made for Matthew Banner, a cf patient, who played on day, well done Matthew, and to his dad who won one of the golf prizes.
