Success in Valencia!
The West Midlands Adult Cystic Fibrosis centre was recently well represented at the European CF conference in Valencia, Spain.
The West Midlands Adult Cystic Fibrosis centre was recently well represented at the European CF conference in Valencia, Spain. Our centre is one of the largest regional adult CF centres in the UK and currently cares for around 325 patients. A team of nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians and doctors presented 6 posters at the conference. Dr Rifat Rashid's poster on cardiac autonomic dysfunction in CF won 1st prize for best in category.
Four Members of the team were also invited to give oral presentations about their role or their research findings. All the presentations were excellently delivered and promoted a great deal of interest from other professionals working in CF worldwide.
The conference was also a wonderful opportunity for the team to network with colleagues from other CF centres both nationally and internationally.
